ADVICE SERVICES

Caring is complex and carers often find themselves struggling to find the right information, or advice which can support them within their role. Our practical support services aim to equip carers with the knowledge and skills to continue on in their role.

WEDNESDAY ADVICE LINE

We are a provider of generalist advice to carers living in, or taking care of someone living in Hackney.
Call and speak directly to one of our advisors, no appointment needed.

Every Wednesday, 10am–4pm

Call: 0208 533 0951

Call and speak directly to one of our trained Advice Workers, no appointment needed. They can help you understand your rights and entitlements as a carer and also for the person you care for. They can: do benefit checks; give housing and disability related advice; complete applications for DLA and PIP. For more complicated advice, such as Carers Allowance appointments will need to be made.

We offer advice in Dutch, Somali, Bengali, Urdu and Hindi as well as English.

ADVICE APPOINTMENTS

We offer both face to face and telephone advice depending on your needs.

To ensure that we are offering an effective service, appointments must be pre-booked.

To arrange an appointment, please complete our online referral form below, ring 020 8533 0951, or email info@hackneycarers.org.uk.
