ADVICE SERVICES
Caring is complex and carers often find themselves struggling to find the right information, or advice which can support them within their role. Our practical support services aim to equip carers with the knowledge and skills to continue on in their role.

Dear Carer,
We would like to inform you that our Information and Advice Service will be temporarily closed from 28 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. During this period, we will not be able to take on any new requests, including:
-
Form-filling support
-
Benefit checks
-
Utilities or fuel support
-
General advice and information queries
This temporary pause is due to a very high number of ongoing cases and referrals. We want to ensure that we provide the best possible support to the carers already in the system.
We will reopen to new referrals from Monday, 5 January 2026.
Please note:
-
Our office hours and phone line operating times remain unchanged.
-
Drop-in sessions will continue as usual on Wednesdays between 10am and 1pm. Carers are welcome to attend if they need to speak to a member of staff.
-
In case of urgency, please call 020 8533 0951 or email info@hackneycarers.org.uk.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this busy period.

Warm regards,
City & Hackney Carers Centre
