PARENT CARER FORUM

City & Hackney Carers are delighted to be the host organisation for Hackney Parent Carer Forum.

We are working with local parent carers, partners and decision makers from London Borough of Hackney and Health services to co-produce the new forum.

The forum will enable parents and carers of children (0-25yrs) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to work in collaboration with local decision makers, communicating their views and experiences and helping to shape local services.

There are opportunities to represent parent carers at various meetings throughout the borough, to be part of the advisory group which steers the direction of the forum and to attend useful workshops and training events.

We are always looking to recruit parent carers who are interested in being a member of the forum.

You do not need any previous experience of a forum. Your lived experience as a parent or carer for a child with SEND is what is most important. Training and support will be provided by us.
