LPA Online Workshop

To mark Carers Week 2026, OPG is holding a free online information session on LPAs and deputyship orders.

If you help manage the finances or health of the person you care for, you may want to learn more about lasting power of attorneys (LPAs) and deputyship orders.​ Alternatively, you may be an unpaid carer who wants to plan ahead for a time when you may no longer be able to make your own decisions.

During this session, you will hear from Emma Sharp, our Deputy Director for Strategy and Central Services. She will be joined by Ali Percy, Senior Insight Manager. Together, they'll explain:

•what LPAs are and how you, or the person you care for, can make one

•when a deputyship order may be required and how to apply

•how much it costs to make an LPA or apply for a deputyship order
